Frequently asked questions
Everything you might want to know about donating, requesting, and how Sang Limite works.
Does Sang Limite cost anything?
No. The app is completely free for both donors and patients. We never sell blood or charge for a match.
Do I need to create an account?
There is no sign-up form. The app sets up a secure account for you automatically the first time you open it, and remembers you on your device.
Who can donate blood?
Most healthy adults between 18 and 65 who meet the basic health criteria can donate. See our eligibility page for the general guidelines, and always follow the medical team's assessment on the day.
How often can I donate?
Whole-blood donors can typically give every 3 months (about 8–12 weeks). The medical staff at the donation site confirm your eligibility each time.
Which areas do you cover?
Sang Limite covers all of Lebanon, organised by its eight governorates so you can find donors and requests near you.
Does Sang Limite store or handle blood?
No. We are a connection platform. The actual donation happens at a hospital or blood bank; we simply help donors and patients find each other.
